Unlike many other Habanos brands, Quintero did not originate in Cuba's capital, Havana. Instead, founder Agustin Quintero and his four brothers established their business in the coastal city of Cienfuegos, known as the "Pearl of the South."

All tobaccos used in Quintero's filler blend are sourced from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta regions. Each Quintero cigar is crafted using the short filler, totally handmade technique.
